Centrally located in Italy, Tuscany (Toscana) offers a beautiful landscape as well as high culture. The cities are best known for their influence on art and is regarded as the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. Tuscany offers a small airport for those wishing to fly into the city, if you are traveling from Italy you can easily arrive in Tuscany by train, coach or car. The area is covered by hills, so traveling by bike will create quite a workout and in a vehicle you will have to be careful as you wind through many of the one lane roads. The train station is the best way to get around to the smaller villages and for those that are not reachable by train, a short bus ride from the nearest train station will place you in your desired destination.
Climate:
The climate is mild near the coastal areas and a bit harsher in the interior of the town where more rainfall is more common. April, May, October and November are the best times to travel to Tuscany and remember, if you are staying in the mountains you will experience cooler climates, even in the summer, than you would on the coast.

This is one of the world’s top art museums and displays some of the most important pieces of art from the Renaissance period. You will find works of art from Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli and many other great artists from our history.
